At Bumpkins your child will experience a loving and supportive atmosphere.

Our staff team is headed up by our Group Manager, Vanessa Taylor, NNEB with over 25 years experience of child care she is responsible for a team of 50 full and part-time staff, she is Mum to two children, so a working mother as well! Vanessa is pictured on the right with Sue Bellamy our Nursery Manager on the left.  Sue is a very qualified and experienced Nursery Manager and with two young children she is only too aware of the needs of a working parent, she is busy juggling those roles herself.   She is supported by Laura Geldart, Deputy Manager

We have both full-time and part-time staff working for us NNEB, NVQ3 and NVQ2 Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants.

We work hard to ensure a diverse mix of staff, some of our staff are newly qualified but the  majority are established and experienced child care professionals. Some are parents or grandparents.  We have a very low staff turnover, well below average.  A number of the team celebrate 6, 7  or even 8 years service, some of been with us since opening in 2000.  It is important that Bumpkins is a happy place to work as well as leave your children.

This mixture of staff creates a very positive environment for your child, all are able to recognise, understand and deliver the highest level of care to your child. On-going staff training is offered to all staff both on-site and also with external trainers, training includes first aid, personal development and other relevant courses.
